Interesting Talks is proud to present Shouting at the Deaf - metaphor structure and therapeutic intervention by Andrew T AustinNLP practitioners are usually very good at matching sensory modalities, Master Practitioners are very good at pacing modalities and leading into sensory overlap. NLP trainers, one would hope, are able to pace, lead and overlap submodalities. However, how many NLPers are able to pace and lead the logical structure of their clients reasoning and problem solving ability? All the information is there, we just have to know how and what to listen for. So often it gets missed. The client expresses it perfectly, but no one hears. They might as well be shouting at the deaf.In this introduction to his body of work entitled, Metaphors of Movement, Andrew T. Austin will demonstrate how to hear the exact structure of the client's problem and how to design a specific and exact intervention that doesn't rely on a set routine of applied techniques in the hope that one will work.Formerly a registered nurse working in clinical neurology and neurosurgery, Andrew began his nursing career in Accident and Emergency. Working in A&E he quickly developed a strong reputation for working with the many psychiatric and mental health related emergencies that were frequently presented to the department. It was during this period in 1994 that he began training in hypnosis and therapy at the Royal Masonic Hospital in London and his interest in psychotherapy and neurolinguistics grew. Andrew is the founding designer and trainer of Integral Eye Movement Therapy IEMT, and Metaphors of MovementThis event is on Wednesday 23rd May in Piccadilly Central London.
