There's always a few people who wait until the ABSOLUTE last minute to go Christmas shopping. I'm stereotyping here, but I also assume that most of those individuals who wait are men. It just seems like we'd be the ones to wait for some reason. Not because we don't like getting gifts for the ones we love, but because it just seems like we don't like the process of getting gifts for the ones we love. But anybody can be a procrastinator. I just want to make that clear. You too!can wait until the last minute!
Which is why God told Al Gore to create the Internets.
Well, because I believe in peace in households and good food for men (and women and anybody who needs it reallyI love good things), here are some last minute gift ideas for the slacker in you.
1. BOX OF CHOCOLATES
If there is one thing that you can find anywhere, its a box of chocolates. They're at CVS. They're at Walgreens. They're at stands in malls. I'm sure you can buy a box of chocolates from a guy selling oranges by the freeway. I don't recommend that but it's an option. Of course, higher quality chocolate is the way to go here so it doesn't look like you walked right into a CVS and bought some chocolate. But it doesn't require much thinking. Ohthis should DEFINITELY not be your only gift for somebody unless its a relative, employee, or coworker.
2. GIFT CARDS
You cannot go wrong with gift cards because they allow the receiver to get whatever they desire. Plus you can run the story about realizing that you wanted them to be able to get their desired gift. It's probably a lie, but you can say it. This also should not be the only thing you get for somebody. You can mix #1 and #2 though.
3. PICTURE FRAMES
I will never understand why pictures frames make such great gifts, especially since so many people take pictures with their phones these days, but they do. A really nice picture frame can go a long way towards a gift for a parent or a person you like but have no clue about their interests. Or somebody you're dating.
4. A DVD BOX SET
There are box sets of movies, TV shows, documentaries, etc of almost EVERY show that has ever been created. Figure out what they like most and go find some set of movies that may tickle their fancy.
5. A VERY CREATIVE VIDEO OF SOME SORT
While people love gifts they can hold, gifts that grab the heart are just as lovely. If you create a video or something (assuming you have the creativity and technical know-how) you can knock their socks off with a touching moment in the history of your relationship.
